I thoroughly believe music is like food, an essential part of life.
You can consume the wrong kind of music, just like with food. You can also consume what everyone else consumes (like what most people do)… But listening to great, amazing, fantastic music makes you feel amazing – it is also very hard to come by.
And so it goes, I follow music like my life depends on it. I came across a label (that happens to run a killer blog), Palms Out Sounds, about a year ago that needed some WordPress help (I told them I’d help them move off of Blogger and on to WordPress).
In the midst of helping them out, an idea for showcasing the wonderful electronic music events happening in the Detroit area started brewing in my mind.
Today marks the unveiling of both these projects: my first post at Palms Out Sounds as well as a project called Listen Detroit.fm
There’s much more to come in the form of blog + music convergence, but for today, I’m more than thrilled to show the world a little bit of Detroit and some projects that grace the beta label with arms wide open.
