This one-of-a-kind conversation table was inspired by a Paris flea market find, then designed exclusively for us by a London graphic designer with a penchant for, and a large personal collection of, antique printers’ blocks.

Zombie Strippers! [trailer] An advertisement on the back of the actually pretty good comic book release, Jenna Jameson’s Shadow Hunter (seriously, it’s not bad, maybe even good), advertised a non porn film, starring Jenna Jameson, titled Zombie Strippers!

Right on brother!! I was also completely blown away by their performance at the Ark. Schuyler was so beautiful and their harmonies were perfect. It doesn’t seem like they’re playing together anymore. We definitely saw a magical performance.

Analog Meets Its Match in Red Digital Cinema’s Ultrahigh-Res Camera
Noël Jackson @
His team of engineers and scientists have created the first digital movie camera that matches the detail and richness of analog film. The Red One records motion in a whopping 4,096 lines of horizontal resolution—”4K” in filmmaker lingo—and 2,304 of vertical. For comparison, hi-def digital movies like Sin City and the Star Wars prequels top out at 1,920 by 1,080, just like your HDTV. (There’s also a slightly higher-resolution option called 2K that reaches 2,048 lines by 1,080.) Film doesn’t have pixels, but the industry-standard 35-millimeter stock has a visual resolution roughly equivalent to 4K. And that’s what makes the Red so exciting: It delivers all the dazzle of analog, but it’s easier to use and cheaper—by orders of magnitude—than a film camera. In other words, Jannard’s creation threatens to make 35-mm movie film obsolete.

“The red icon on your iPhone or iPod touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were rich enough to afford this. It’s a work of art with no hidden function at all.”

Joshua Radin and Schuyler Fisk
Noël Jackson @
Last Tuesday, my girlfriend and I went to see Joshua Radin and Schuyler Fisk at The Ark in Ann Arbor.
It was truly amazing. Hearing them live was so powerful. They talked about their songs too, which made it even more gratifying and intimate. If you ever have the chance to see either of them, do it, it will be a show you’ll never forget.
The best part of the night was getting to speak with Josh and Schuyler, who were both just so radiant and happy to meet their fans. And, I got to tell them how much their music has helped me, especially this past year, and that they really have made a difference in my life. This past year has been a crazy one, especially with my Dysautonomia, and their music really has touched me.
Oh, and if you ever read this Schuyler, I have to admit, I’ve got a crush on you. :)
